Peter Clouston
Peter is a specialist in road construction and maintenance. He has 27 years experience in the fields of pavement engineering, Road Management Systems and the Evaluation of Road Transport Projects.
He prepared national specifications for materials, design and construction for aggregates, asphaltic and Portland Cement roading materials, for New Zealand and Indonesian state highways. He recently reviewed asphalt specifications and QC practices for Transit NZ. In 2003 he assessed the pavement technical capability of Poland for a $US10 billion European Union aid package.
He undertook a major review of chip sealing specifications, design, contract management and training for the National Roads Board and is the author of internationally reviewed papers on this topic. He revised the NZ seal manual in 2003.
Peter managed the research, production and introduction of the first Economic Evaluation Manual for New Zealand. In 2000, he was responsible for the economic analysis of the maintenance program of the Indian State of Kerala.
